RACE THE SUN CHARITY EVENT - "The Carver Chiefs"
Raising funds for life saving research to help defeat diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children and young people

The Carvers are always keen to help raise money for charity, especially if it involves pushing themselves in the process! On the 10th September Gordon, Henry & James Carver along with their good friend Andy McDaid will be competing as a team at Race The Sun in the Lake District.

With the team name Carver Chiefs, they have competed before and came 3rd so no pressure!

The guys will be setting off at dawn and cycling 40 miles over a tough course, then paddling on a 2-mile canoe course on Derwent Water and finally summit Skiddaw on an 11 mile round trip to an altitude of 931m.

They are hoping to raise a combined total of £1800 for Action Medical Research.

Training has been underway for some time, not least with James & Henry supporting a friend running 100 miles, Henry taking part in Crossfit competitions, James running the Swaledale Marathon and Gordon climbing Skiddaw.
