On Saturday 1st September, 4 members of the Carver family took part in Race the Sun, Lake District to raise money to help fund medical research into conditions affecting babies and children.
Action Medical Research currently funds research into conditions including asthma, prematurity, epilepsy, meningitis, cerebral palsy, brain cancer and some rare and distressing conditions.
The challenge involved teams of four to cycle 50 miles, hike to the summit of Helvellyn and canoe a course on Lake Ullswater.
After months of training, the Carver team managed to exceed their fundraising target of &1800!
